# Book import format

Import a UTF-8 JSON file from **Add another book**. Each page is an array of paired Spanish and English sentences. The reader uses the browser's speech synthesis and the built-in glossary; imported books need no app code changes.

IDs use 2–40 lowercase letters, digits, and hyphens. A book may have 1–100 chapters and each chapter needs at least one page. A maximum 1 MB JSON file is accepted. Every sentence needs both `es` and `en`. Imported content is currently saved only in this browser and is not synchronised.
